Stick to the routine and the guards stay off your back. Break it, and they start asking questions. The trick is doing both.

Show up to every roll call. Missing one is the fastest way to put a guard on your tail.

Honest work. Dishonest pockets.
Press license plates, wash dishes, do laundry or stitch uniforms. Every job keeps suspicion low, earns you cash, and is a great place to steal stuff.

Lunch, gossip, bribes.
Spend your hard-earned cash on insider information, or treat your inmate to a fresh look. Image matters, even in here.

Dear Inmate,

Welcome to your new home. Breakfast is served at six. Roll call is mandatory. Escape is… discouraged.

You will be assigned honest work: pressing license plates, washing dishes, folding laundry, stitching uniforms. Please do not take anything from the workplace. Please especially do not take the spoons.

Our guards notice everything. Anyone found in a restricted area will enjoy a quiet stay in solitary, minus their belongings.

Make friends. Trust them, if you must.
